６月４日金曜日午後７時よりカスカスキアカントリークラブのレストランで、ファンの集いのウェルカムディナー＆オークションが開かれました。
Welcome Dinner & Silent Auction was held at Kaskaskia Country Club at 7 p.m. on June 4.

見覚えのあるコレクターさんがいるかな？
「私、アルコラには行ったことないもん」って言ってるあなた！
ラガディ・アン＆アンディの公式ファンブックで紹介されてるコレクターさん達も沢山いましたよ。

こういう集まりってなんだか「敷居が高そ〜っ」って思って見てるあなたもいることでしょう。
私もその１人でした。筋金入のラガディファンじゃないと行っちゃ行けないみたいな…
What I love about this gathering is the fact that everybody is welcome.
It is not that you have to be a Raggedy collector for many years or that a seasoned Raggedy collector who happened to sit across from you quiz you on Raggedy facts!

でも、そんなこと全然ないの。ラガディが好きで母子で参加してる人達、奥さんがラガディが好きで一緒に参加してるダンナさん。そんな人達が１年に１度だけど何年も何年も集まるうちに遠い親戚みたいな、そんな関係になって行く。
とても素敵な空間。
You may just be accompanying your friends or significant others who love Raggedy and might be hesitant to come for the first time. For the second time around, you spot some familiar faces. Then, over the years. the people you see here become your long time friends!

来年2011年もこのアルコラで６月３日（金）、４日（土）、５日（日）の今度は３日間ラガディ・フレンドシップ・ギャザリングが開催されます。
There will be 3rd Annual Raggedy Friendship Gathering on June 3, 4, and 5th next year. If you are interested in hearing about the details a few months in advance next year, please email me here!
